We are wrapping up my May wedding posts, only one more to go! Kristy and Chris had an intimate wedding ceremony up in Lockett Meadow outside of Flagstaff on May 30, 2008. We were trying to beat the rain, which seemed to be the case for every event in May. The day turned out great and everyone was relaxed and in good spirits. I spent 10 hours with this family and they were a pleasure to work with. My sister-in-law mentioned that I ALWAYS say, "I love my clients" in every post and asked if that was really true... of course it's true! As wedding photographers, we end up spending so much time with the bride and groom's family, it's hard to leave a wedding and NOT love the family after sharing such a special day. We take our job seriously of documenting family history and a wedding day is one of those "remember when" times in every couple's lives. We are honored to be a part of our client's family history.
After the celebration over at Thornager's we drove out to Parks to get a few more photos of Kristy and Chris with their horses--a Trash the Dress session-- Flagstaff style. Both bride and groom are great riders and Kristy wasn't afraid of a little mud on her dress. Special thanks to Amanda Voisard, an awesome local photojournalist who was my second shooter.
