My sister-in-law had her little one a few weeks ago, but I'm just a little behind in some of the blog posts.  I LOVE sleeping babies for portraits.  Once they are asleep anything is possible, however, in this case, baby did NOT feel the need to sleep-- which can make everything a little more challenging.  Oh well.  I don't usually use too many props with our newborns, but I did want to try a picture with a saddle since my sister-in-law is very involved with her horses here in town.  I drew my inspiration from a photographer I admire from back east - black horse studio. Obviously this would have worked a little better with a non-fussy baby. We didn't push it, so this was what we captured.  ~jamelle

Newborn Portraits {Wesley}
