Jaxton just came in for his three month portrait session last week and we'll see him again around 6 months and again at a year as part of a baby stages package that we offer!  Jaxton was a trooper but he crashed out for the last part of the session, which gave us some of my favorite shots of the day.  This age, for me, is one of the more challenging ages to shoot.  They do not  curl up and sleep as they did when they were newborns but it's before they can sit up on their own. It's always a good time for professional photography, as we'll get some images that you would never be able to get on your own and more importantly, the Mommy gets to be in some! We are going to put together a great little album for Jaxton after his 1st birthday and it will be an awesome compilation of his baby stages throughout the first year.~jamelle

Little Sophia, only ten days old, the newest little adopted addition to a wonderful family here in Flagstaff.  Once we finally got her to sleep, she was the sweetest little thing.  I'm always amazed at how tiny these newborns are in the first two weeks, even though I've had two of my own.  They change so fast; it's really a magical time for portraits.  ~jamelle

A great little fall family session with Dee Ann, Eric and baby Bodhi.  Dee Ann always brings a little Mexican flare wherever she sets up camp (note amazing colorful blanket), she even brought pumpkins from their garden.  In short, we love props!  You may remember Dee Ann and Eric's Mexican-themed Tucson wedding in 2009.  Dee Ann has a skin care line which you can buy downtown at Winter Sun or check out her website,  Peak Scents.  Cameron and I can't get enough of these skin care products....they are just amazing and they smell great ~Jamelle

This year we are doing a canned food drive for charity. On Saturday October 30 from 9AM-noon, bring your kids downtown in their costume for a quick photo at our studio.  We will have a cute set-up like the one you see in this photo. Each mini session will take less than 15 minutes and *cost* you four canned goods.  We will make 4x6 prints for everyone and have them available at the studio, additional prints can be ordered via our online proofing gallery.  It will be first come, first serve.  By the way if you'd like a handmade costume but don't have time or don't sew, call our friend, Anne with Anne's Alterations, 928-380-9356. She made Owen's Yoda costume, featured below & here (it's a tad snug on him this year but still cute).  Yes, these are my kids :) ~Cameron

It's never too late to do a family portrait!  We have had a lot of families with older kids call about family portraits this year and it's a really fun time when your kids are in college to capture them because before you know it they have their own families-- you think it's hard to get them all together now...I've basically known the Johnson's since I moved to Flagstaff in 2003.  Emily went to FJA where my husband teaches and still babysits for our kids when she's back from college.  I love this family!
