042010-cameron-001-web2.jpgPhotography is the only job I've ever had and I love it. Before moving out West to Flagstaff, Arizona in 2003, I was a staff photojournalist for the Athens Banner-Herald in Athens, Georgia.  I approach every photo shoot with a documentary eye... it's the only way I know how to see.  I look for great composition and spontaneity in my pictures. Each wedding is a unique visual story filled with whimsical family moments.

I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from the University of Georgia. I am available for commission worldwide and have photographed weddings in Arizona, California, Brazil, Maryland, Massachusetts, Georgia, Costa Rica, Wisconsin, Oregon and Utah. My work has been featured in Style Me Pretty, Arizona Bride Magazine, Arizona Weddings, The Wedding Chronicle, Mountain Living Magazine, The Arizona Daily Sun and Flagstaff Live.

If you'd like to know more...my photojournalism roots made me a people photographer-- I love  the family history of weddings. I shot thousands of assignments for the newspaper in classrooms, helicopters, stadiums, rooftops, auditoriums, laboratories, elevators, basements, houses, golf courses, Universities, chapels and a myriad of other venues. That experience of working with my camera 40+ hours a week gave me a remarkable technical basis and allows me to come on site at a wedding or portrait session, assess the lighting situation quickly and shoot incredible photographs.

Before I had kids, I spent all my free time in the woods mountain biking or hiking (and will again) but right now I live in downtown Flagstaff with my brilliant husband, Matt, and our two kids: Owen and Harper keep us pretty busy. Follow my personal adventures on this blog, "my life: cameron,"
