This year we are doing a canned food drive for charity. On Saturday October 30 from 9AM-noon, bring your kids downtown in their costume for a quick photo at our studio.  We will have a cute set-up like the one you see in this photo. Each mini session will take less than 15 minutes and *cost* you four canned goods.  We will make 4×6 prints for everyone and have them available at the studio, additional prints can be ordered via our online proofing gallery.  It will be first come, first serve.  By the way if you’d like a handmade costume but don’t have time or don’t sew, call our friend, Anne with Anne’s Alterations, 928-380-9356. She made Owen’s Yoda costume, featured below & here (it’s a tad snug on him this year but still cute).  Yes, these are my kids :) ~Cameron

We are one of 80 businesses participating in Arizona Highways Passport to Flagstaff.  I took a cute shot of our mayor Sara Presler reading the most recent copy of Arizona Highways for the NEXT issue of AZ Highways.  If you bring your “passport” into the studio we are offering 15% off our portrait packages booked this weekend.  Passports can be downloaded online at Arizona Highways or be picked up in Heritage Square July 10-12.  Please stop by to visit with the folks from Arizona Highways this weekend! ~cameron~mayor-4406-weblogo.jpg

FAQ: What is “Night at The Studio”

Every client sees their images for the first time via our blog and then their internet slideshow— UNLESS you opt into a new program this year called “Night At The Studio.”  This option allows you to invite your family and friends to view your slideshow HUGE projected on the wall at our sister space, The Flagstaff Photography Center.

Our first “Night at The Studio” was last night for DeeAnn and Eric’s wedding. I was having too much fun eating (they brought an amazing Mexican spread) and chatting to photograph too many details but I did get this shot of the slideshow in action.

Hi Blog-world. Today is the first Friday of the month, which means, First Friday Artwalk in Flagstaff. All the galleries (including ours) stay open late and provide some refreshments and locals and guests get to visit our great art galleries and mingle. It’s an excuse to get everyone out and about.  So come on down to see us (actually it’s mostly going to be Jamelle in the studio tonight).  We are starting a new tradition of having little specials at the First Friday Artwalk each month, it’s a first come first serve basis, so come on down and you might even win a free portrait session (vaule: $225).  Also the FPC
is opening a new show, showcasing 77 feet of photo strips from the
Photo Booth.  I will do a full post on that later, it’s a soft opening
next door tonight, so stay tuned.

Additionally, I am a reviewer in the Flagstaff Photography Center’s annual review this Saturday!   If you are a budding photographer and have a portfolio you’d like reviewed. There is still space available.  It’s $50 and you will get opinions from some of the top photographers, gallery oweners and artists in this region. It’s well worth your day, time and money.  See image below for more info or call Jason 928-774-2544 to see if he can squeeze you in!
