Ericca decided she wanted something more than cell phone pictures for her elopement to Chris... I think we delivered? Right? Chris was a bit skeptical that we could actually get "real moments" at a portrait session... I suggested a little longer timeline so we could get up to some amazing Sedona views that are hard to reach with big wedding parties.  These guys have an amazing story and I'm so happy they found each other.  Ericca provides the bubbly personality and makes Chris smile! They've been though a lot in a short time! Sedona magic light, gorgeous and fun couple!  ~Cameron

Mark and Keoni were two of the nicest two people on earth.  Keoni was so cute-- she didn't want to get her dress dirty but she wanted great photos-- she compromised-- a lesson in marriage itself. Because of the sunset times in winter, we did a "first look" meeting between the bride and groom before the ceremony.  These are always a special time. Jamelle and I got to play around a bit on the property of Tlaquepaque with Keoni and Mark as our gorgeous subjects. This event is an example of our four hour coverage in the off-season, available when booked with Karen Lynn, Sedona Wedding Planner. Lovely Tlaquepaque ceremony and quick red rock session followed by a very short coverage of the reception. LOVED this bouquet from Showstoppers

Sometimes when I edit, I see an images that reminds me why I got into this business.  Why? The love, people.  True love.  I have been attempting to capture a moment like the lead image below for a really long time.  To me, this image pretty much sums up why I shoot weddings.  Of course I wish I had composed it a tad better but it's pretty dang close and it's real. Thank you to Richard for loving Stacia (pronounced STAY sha-- cool, eh?) so much to have this sweet reaction.  I also love the shot of them walking in the field by that amazing tree on Enchantment's property.  This is an abbreviated *off season rate* coverage (4 hours) booked with Karen Lynn: Sedona Wedding Planner.  Thanks to Dawn Kish for being my trusty second photographer on this shoot. Congrats on your marriage! Enjoy these blog images... I was drawn to the black and white documentary images.  ~Cameron

Blythe and Laura were married in Flagstaff on August 15, 2009 and it was a gorgeous day at Forest Highlands Golf Club. Laura's parents did an awful lot of planning and legwork for her, which was so sweet and of course it was easier for them since they still live here in Flagstaff. They were my initial contact and I met with them in the studio without Laura who is busy working her tail off getting another degree!  Her Dad has a red Oldsmobile 442 (muscle car) and we utilized the heck out of it as a prop (you can too, as Jon is willing to do some chauffeuring for brides in the N. Arizona area, contact me for details).  Laura was in town a week before the wedding and I don't know that I've ever had a meeting with a bride who was MORE enthusiastic about my work than Laura.  In fact, I might not have ever had a bride as enthusiastic about life than Laura.  It shows in the photos.  She and Blythe are a very sweet couple, which I hope comes through in the photos.  Working with cars as props in gorgeous light is every photographer's dream so that was really fun for Jamelle and I.  Click this link to view the slideshow.

These photos are just perfect. . .they captured the energy and fun that I felt throughout the entire ceremony and reception. Cameron and Jamelle are phenomenal, and I could not have ever imagined photos as beautiful as these!

Stephanie Lilly says:

Wow! Gorgeous photos! Makes me want to go home and look through my album AGAIN (which is still the most amazing thing me or any of my friends or family have seen, by the way!). Thanks for making such beautiful reminders for so many of us to look back on our special days!

Wendy White says:

Cameron, each time I look through your wedding photos I am reminded of what a horrible photographer I had for my wedding. But then I think "how lucky these couples are that they hired Cameron to help capture the special moments of their bigl day." And that makes me smile - you capture the humor, the anxiety and the just amazing fun spirit of a wedding day in such detail.

(08.28.09 @ 04:18 PM)
Sarah Clark says:

Cameron, this is wonderful! The bride is so beautiful and the groom handsome! I love the details - you captured everything perfectly! I know they are thrilled with your work.

Phyllis Higdon says:

So, so pretty! You captured the happiness and fun that the bride, groom and their families and friends were having. What a beautiful way for the bride and groom to remember their special day!

We have the luxury of living in a mountain desert here in Flagstaff. It doesn't really rain much in the summer until August, and it REALLY doesn't rain in the desert desert of Sedona, um except this year.  On May 23, 2009 it pretty much rained all day minus the late evening but we were blessed with a light mist for our portrait session. Jennifer was a bit worried about the rain and it was sweet to witness her man, Jamaal, worried for her while he was getting ready. We kept telling Jennifer it would not matter for the photos and that we can make the best of any situation.  We did AND we had fun in the process. As soon as Jennifer saw Jamaal nothing else mattered-- these two exemplify true love. Jamaal (the groom) even got into helping us with the lighting during a quick portrait shot of Jennifer (love his concentration in that shot). This was a Sedona wedding that Jamelle booked, which means she was the primary shooter and I helped her as her secondary shooter and lighting assistant. Watch out Arizona! Jamelle is getting really good! Don't you just love that first kiss shot?  Karen Lynn of Sedona Wedding Planner and her team pulled this event together and despite the rain it was a lovely reception on the Patio de las CampaƱas (um, UNDER the arch ways) and Jennifer and Jamaal got their dream Sedona wedding! View their slideshow here. ~jamelle

I agree... you made the rain look like something people would PAY for on their wedding day. Well done. P.S. were you at the square watching Chuck Cheeseman the other day? If you were I'm pretty sure I saw you - I recognized Owen from your blog.

Sean and Angela planned a lovely elopement in Sedona on May 9, 2009.  Oak Creek was a special place to them so they choose to do their vows by the creek and I suggested they call the Pink Jeeps to pick them up and transport them to a remote red rock setting (they have several to chose from). Why not add a little Jeep adventure to your elopement?  So we loaded up and road up Schnebly road to Merry-Go-Round rock and they enjoyed the sunset at one of the most scenic spots in Sedona.  We got some great variety of portraits between the creekside at Amara and our Jeep journey.  Congrats to Sean and Angela for doing their wedding exactly like THEY wanted, small, intimate and no-hassle!  Sedona is so perfect for elopements!  Check out their mini-slideshow here *Cameron*

Ditto Cousin Toni. These photographers are extraordinarily talented, but they had help from an extraordinarily lovely bride and groom (who dress up well!), two extraordinarily cute attendants (who also dress up well) and an extraordinarily beautiful setting. Our best wishes to Angie and Sean for many memory making years ahead to photograph. Love and hugs from Elaine and Randy

I received an inquiry Wednesday before a Sunday wedding-- SUPER BOWL Sunday that is, ah  hem. As you probably know Arizona's team the Cardinals were in the Super Bowl for the first time-- EVER. Greg wanted the BEST for his fiance, Kim, and I have to give any groom that contacts me HUGE bonus points because 99% of all the contacts I work with are brides "taking care of business." Let's face it, men just do not "get into" wedding planning.... unless they are a Greg.  Greg is definitely a mover and a shaker and I should mention REALLY REALLY in love with Kim.  I could go on and on about this two-hour event, but I'll keep it short. One of my favorite details was how Greg and Kim carefully included Kim's 7-year old daughter Regan (pronounced REE-gan).  I cried and teared up several times during their hillside L'Auberge ceremony.  Greg wrote a poem to Kim and he gave Regan a necklace and professed his love and commitment to her as well.  It was so SWEET.  I am so happy for Kim and Greg. I hope I did your love justice in the photos-- it was the best Super Bowl Sunday I've ever had.  Slideshow will post tomorrow... technical errors that I just can't wait out for the moment.

Susana and Scott are some of the nicest people you will ever meet.  They chose to do a very small and intimate wedding with only their closest family and friends.  It was lovely and Karen Lynn, Sedona Wedding Planner coordinated the entire event top to bottom.  Showstoppers did the flowers, and Artists in Rhythm played a great trio in the L'Auberge Creekside Lodge.

"I'm getting married, and I'm going to be the flower girl and I love Stephen and I'm getting married with Joey and Stephen and I'm going to throw all the petals..." Hope was filled with contagious enthuasium the moments before her Aunt Joey's wedding. These are the days that I love my job as I did on October 13, 2007. From the moment I met the creative, beautiful and gracious Joanna, I knew I HAD to shoot this wedding. Joey, as she prefers to be called, pulled off a themed event, which is never easy to do, especially without a coordinator. Her event boasted a vintage travel theme, the place "cards" where handmade paper airplanes, the gift table held an "antiqued" trunk, the tables were named after famous vintage hotels of the world, complete with their insignias and a mini paper trunk of your own sitting atop vintage stamps from around the world. Slideshow!

Chase did some amazing planning for her wedding which included details like stenciling the table cloths (amazing). It was another great wedding in the calle de independencia at Tlaquepaque in Sedona. Showstoppers did the gorgeous flowers, Sedona Cake Couture created a delicious cake, Karen Lynn coordinated the event day and the scrumptuous food was provided by Heartline Cafe. Just posting a few of my favorite shots to see more view the slideshow here.
