Erin and Craig had the perfect destination wedding at L'Auberge de Sedona on a Thursday! The ceremony was held at the newly remodeled hillside with an a fresco dinner at the Creekhouse patio. Erin and Craig are so comfortable around one another --they were an easy-going couple.  Erin was SO relaxed prior to the wedding she played cards with her best friend and really got to enjoy her day.  Lovely flower arrangements by Amy Mills of Bliss Floral. Congrats you guys! Click here to view the slideshow

Jaron and Amanda were married at L'Auberge de Sedona on January 23, 2010! It was the weekend AFTER the enormous snow storm we had up here in Northern Arizona.  I shoveled for an hour to carve a space wide enough to back my car out of  our driveway--we received four feet of snow in three days. It was the third largest storm in Flagstaff's history!  Sedona also received some snow and it was absolutely breathtaking on the red rocks.  These guys were great sports and ventured out into the snowy weather to get some great images.  We did a "first look" before the ceremony because I was worried about the weather and wanted to be sure we had enough light and time to capture some great portraits...  Jaron and Amanda had to move their ceremony indoors at L'Auberge but as you can see, it was still lovely.  The happy couple just got back from New Zealand on their honeymoon. ::click here:: to view their slideshow~Cameron~

Rachel and Brad were married at the Tlaquepaque chapel May 31, 2009  Rachel was a beautiful bride and Brad was probably one of the nicest guys I've ever met.  We were able to take a few quick photos out on the red rocks before dinner and even though the shoes didn't turn out to be as comfortable as Rachel hoped, the photos turned out great.  Rachel and Brad had custom wine made (not just labels) from Su Vino in Scottsdale as their guest favors.  The newlyweds even personally delivered some to the studio the week after their wedding.  Thanks and congrats you two.  You can view the slideshow here.

We have the luxury of living in a mountain desert here in Flagstaff. It doesn't really rain much in the summer until August, and it REALLY doesn't rain in the desert desert of Sedona, um except this year.  On May 23, 2009 it pretty much rained all day minus the late evening but we were blessed with a light mist for our portrait session. Jennifer was a bit worried about the rain and it was sweet to witness her man, Jamaal, worried for her while he was getting ready. We kept telling Jennifer it would not matter for the photos and that we can make the best of any situation.  We did AND we had fun in the process. As soon as Jennifer saw Jamaal nothing else mattered-- these two exemplify true love. Jamaal (the groom) even got into helping us with the lighting during a quick portrait shot of Jennifer (love his concentration in that shot). This was a Sedona wedding that Jamelle booked, which means she was the primary shooter and I helped her as her secondary shooter and lighting assistant. Watch out Arizona! Jamelle is getting really good! Don't you just love that first kiss shot?  Karen Lynn of Sedona Wedding Planner and her team pulled this event together and despite the rain it was a lovely reception on the Patio de las CampaƱas (um, UNDER the arch ways) and Jennifer and Jamaal got their dream Sedona wedding! I agree... you made the rain look like something people would PAY for on their wedding day. Well done. P.S. were you at the square watching Chuck Cheeseman the other day? If you were I'm pretty sure I saw you - I recognized Owen from your blog.

Natalie and Marty were married May 2, 2009 on 'the knoll' which is a GREAT outdoor spot in Sedona with views of the Cathedral Rock and other gorgeous red rocks.  Natalie and Marty are both musicians and met as friends but discovered their relationship meant more than that over the years. They were a great casual fun couple and I think that shows in their images.  I adore the image of them coming down the aisle together. Since it was a "standing" ceremony the guests formed an aisle for Natalie and her father to walk down.  This made a great photo of some reactions and faces as they proceeded down the aisle.

This wedding was booked a short period before the event, so I covered it as an hourly event.  As you might know about me, I am not a big fan of hourly coverage because it means we generaly leave before all the "action" takes place, in this case, we missed Natalie and Marty singing songs, etc.  However, their higher priority was good candid wedding photography and great portraits, so it worked out for them. If I'm available and your wedding falls within 6-8 weeks of your inquiry, I will shoot your event with my hourly rate.  Contact: cameron @ cameronkellystudio dot come for pricing.  All regular rates apply for albums and any a la carte products and that rate is only good in Northern Arizona: Sedona or Flagstaff, specifically.  Inquire about my availability if you are planning an event soon!  We have lots of dates in June and July available!

Elizabeth and Seth, who you might remember from their recent engagement session... were a great couple to work with on the day of their fabulous Sedona wedding at L'Auberge de Sedona.  Elizabeth had her makeup and hair done by the talented Patricia Vega and she looked stunning!
Their reception was outdoors on the creek side patio and their reception was in the Creek House.  The lovely flowers we arranged by Showstoppers. Seth and Elizabeth were fully prepared for their Schnebly Hill photo shoot because they had done an engagement session.  We find that couples who are willing to go the extra mile and do an engagement session (and get a fabulous guest book out of it too), are much more relaxed and comfortable on the wedding day with the photography session.

Funny side story about their honeymoon... Seth told me that one day he lost his ring in the ocean and almost in the exact same spot the very next day he found it!  Crazy!

Hi - I'm the mother of the bride. I just wanted to say thank you for fabulous photos -- AND totally unobtrusive professionalism. We hardly knew you were there! And how you ever managed to sweep them away and get them back to the reception - with guests none the wiser -- well it was just perfect. Thank you, Annie

Loved this couple. Jamelle and I agreed that every guest at this wedding seemed so delighted to be sharing in this L'Auberge de Sedona day. We really loved the 'wishing rocks' -- everyone took a rock and placed it in a special box and made a wish during the ceremony. Great idea! It was hot-hot-hot but Joni and James looked cool, calm and collected. Joni got ready at El Portal, which makes for some nice portrait opportunities. Liz Margin did her makeup and Raymond Rodriguez styled her hair and flower design by Kathy Switzer. It was a stellar combination. Fun facts about this wedding include: Joni's maid of honor and best friend is dating James's brother and Joni grew up in a house that is around the corner from my own house here in Flagstaff. Joni went to High School in Sedona-- it's rare to photograph a 'local' wedding in Sedona... everyone is a transplant and there are so many destination events. Bozzone is pronounced Buh-ZONE- ee... so it's Joni's new name is perfect: Joni Bozzone. I love it! Click here to view the slideshow:

Enjoy the photos, guys, you look marvelous!

Ah.... L'Auberge de Sedona... such a lovely place and a perfect August day for Sheri and Billy. I loved how the bridesmaids had different shades of pink/red to match the flowers. It shows the unique personality of each woman. This couple was high school sweethearts and have known one another for 17 years (dating on and off). Billy's mom and Dad were holding back the tears at the ceremony, Matt always gets these great hand details and close up portraits and we used a little FlashFlavor during the reception. Check out the action shot at the candy bar... (ah a candy bar, a bride after my own heart). Once again, Showstoppers outdid themselves... check out those lilies. Laura Lane did a fantastic job coordinating the event as well as being their minister. View the slideshow here

Thais and Trever light up when they see one another. Thais put so much heart and soul into this wedding with all her lovely details and incorporated a sense of her Greek heritage into the event...check out that ring. It was an intimate wedding in the Tlaquepaque chapel with a gorgeous reception in the adjacent courtyard on August 11, 2007.
