Amy and David were married the weekend of a cold front here in Flagstaff on Sunday October 4. The previous and following weekend were 65 and sunny, but on this day, it rained.  It didn't seem like it would rain all day and they were both determined to make their outdoor event happen. The saying goes, "if you don't like the weather in Flagstaff, wait 15 minutes."  So we did.  It stopped raining and was a glorious backdrop to boot!  Amy and David chose a spot off Forest Road 794, not too far where I, myself, got married. Nestled in the golden Aspens they exchanged their vows with the wind blowing something fierce and the leaves rustling. A true Flagstaff wedding! Everyone huddled in real close to make it a very intimate event.  Amy and David couldn't be a happier couple if they tried and if you can't tell from the photos, David is a fun Dad and a fun groom-- he's a HAM, people.  We were only hired to shoot the ceremony, portraits and a little bit of the reception, as they weren't having a big traditional party.  Kudos once again to Kim Duncan of Kd event Designs -- Kim made little ole' Brix look all dressed up for their dinner reception.  She designed the table decor and brought all her creativity to the event. Sidenote, David's children all attend my husband, Matt's school, Flagstaff Junior Academy and they are wonderful students and great kids, as I think you can see from the photos as well.  It was lovely day and my congrats to Amy and David.  Thanks to Jamelle for second shooting with the big ole' pregnant lady!  View their slideshow here~Cameron~

Mark and Kali have an amazing rapport together and we learned from their ceremony just how much they have endured together.  It shows!  We met this couple a little late in the game, but have enjoyed working with them so much.  Mark has to be one of the nicest guys on the planet (besides Jeff and Matt -- our husbands) and his enthusiasm is contagious.  He is a "Flagstaff local" and it seems everyone around town knows Mark and says so with a smile. Kali told me that Mark never takes a bad picture and I have to agree she's right.  Kali was a stunning bride which made our job easy and you could tell how much she enjoyed their reception.  We documented their rehearsal dinner in Sedona on Friday night as well as their wedding on Sunday here in Flagstaff.  Both locations were their private residence and lent themselves very well to a gorgeous wedding.  Kali and Mark used many personal touches to make their ceremony meaningful.  Mark's sister, Leslie, helped the Rabbi officiate, they asked Ishai, Mark's son, to walk down the 'aisle' with his Dad and deliver the rings, Mark sang a song to Kali (he's quite the musician), Shonto Begay performed a traditional Navajo wedding blessing and several friends and family spoke blessings from the audience.  I also really enjoyed that their program explained many of the Jewish traditions for the guests.  After the ceremony, the reception was held in their driveway!  Sedona Cake Couture did their amazing cake (those are sugar hydrangeas) The Spokes, a local Sedona band played late into the night and Heartline Cafe did a fabulous job with the catering.  Congrats to Mark + Kali (& Ishai) enjoy the slideshow and the photos. ~Cameron~

Here's a sneak peak from Kaylee & Ben's August 28th wedding. You might remember these two from their engagement session. They were married in the LDS Snowflake Temple, about two hours east of Flagstaff (there isn't a Temple in Flagstaff proper). I photographed the reception here in Flagstaff the following Saturday.  Slideshow link click here. Kaylee and Ben spent their honeymoon in Hawaii-- I could use a Hawaii vacation right about now!   ~jamelle

Blythe and Laura were married in Flagstaff on August 15, 2009 and it was a gorgeous day at Forest Highlands Golf Club. Laura's parents did an awful lot of planning and legwork for her, which was so sweet and of course it was easier for them since they still live here in Flagstaff. They were my initial contact and I met with them in the studio without Laura who is busy working her tail off getting another degree!  Her Dad has a red Oldsmobile 442 (muscle car) and we utilized the heck out of it as a prop (you can too, as Jon is willing to do some chauffeuring for brides in the N. Arizona area, contact me for details).  Laura was in town a week before the wedding and I don't know that I've ever had a meeting with a bride who was MORE enthusiastic about my work than Laura.  In fact, I might not have ever had a bride as enthusiastic about life than Laura.  It shows in the photos.  She and Blythe are a very sweet couple, which I hope comes through in the photos.  Working with cars as props in gorgeous light is every photographer's dream so that was really fun for Jamelle and I.  Click this link to view the slideshow.

Wow! Gorgeous photos! Makes me want to go home and look through my album AGAIN (which is still the most amazing thing me or any of my friends or family have seen, by the way!). Thanks for making such beautiful reminders for so many of us to look back on our special days!

Wendy White says:

Cameron, each time I look through your wedding photos I am reminded of what a horrible photographer I had for my wedding. But then I think "how lucky these couples are that they hired Cameron to help capture the special moments of their bigl day." And that makes me smile - you capture the humor, the anxiety and the just amazing fun spirit of a wedding day in such detail.
