Flagstaff Wedding + Portrait Photography
Sedona and Flagstaff photographers, Cameron Clark + Jamelle Kelly specialize in weddings and portraits in northern Arizona. We will capture your family's personality and our photographs will become part of your family history. We update this blog-site with photos and info about us, so check back often or better yet add us to your RSS feed. If you are in Flagstaff, please stop by our downtown studio on Heritage Square to view our work. We are available most mornings M-F and by appointment.

We are a boutique photography studio and this is our only website. It's a website and a blog. A blog is a journal that allows readers to subscribe (click RSS) and "follow" news events. Please view our current portfolios under the link above or search "view by" to see recent photos by category. You can also search this site using the search box above this text.

We have the luxury of living in a mountain desert here in Flagstaff. It doesn't really rain much in the summer until August, and it REALLY doesn't rain in the desert desert of Sedona, um except this year.  On May 23, 2009 it pretty much rained all day minus the late evening but we were blessed with a light mist for our portrait session. Jennifer was a bit worried about the rain and it was sweet to witness her man, Jamaal, worried for her while he was getting ready. We kept telling Jennifer it would not matter for the photos and that we can make the best of any situation.  We did AND we had fun in the process. As soon as Jennifer saw Jamaal nothing else mattered-- these two exemplify true love. Jamaal (the groom) even got into helping us with the lighting during a quick portrait shot of Jennifer (love his concentration in that shot). This was a Sedona wedding that Jamelle booked, which means she was the primary shooter and I helped her as her secondary shooter and lighting assistant. Watch out Arizona! Jamelle is getting really good! Don't you just love that first kiss shot?  Karen Lynn of Sedona Wedding Planner and her team pulled this event together and despite the rain it was a lovely reception on the Patio de las Campañas (um, UNDER the arch ways) and Jennifer and Jamaal got their dream Sedona wedding! I agree... you made the rain look like something people would PAY for on their wedding day. Well done. P.S. were you at the square watching Chuck Cheeseman the other day? If you were I'm pretty sure I saw you - I recognized Owen from your blog.

Sean and Angela planned a lovely elopement in Sedona on May 9, 2009.  Oak Creek was a special place to them so they choose to do their vows by the creek and I suggested they call the Pink Jeeps to pick them up and transport them to a remote red rock setting (they have several to chose from). Why not add a little Jeep adventure to your elopement?  So we loaded up and road up Schnebly road to Merry-Go-Round rock and they enjoyed the sunset at one of the most scenic spots in Sedona.  We got some great variety of portraits between the creekside at Amara and our Jeep journey.  Congrats to Sean and Angela for doing their wedding exactly like THEY wanted, small, intimate and no-hassle!  Sedona is so perfect for elopements!  Check out their mini-slideshow here *Cameron*

Ditto Cousin Toni. These photographers are extraordinarily talented, but they had help from an extraordinarily lovely bride and groom (who dress up well!), two extraordinarily cute attendants (who also dress up well) and an extraordinarily beautiful setting. Our best wishes to Angie and Sean for many memory making years ahead to photograph. Love and hugs from Elaine and Randy

Jennifer and Chris are an easy going couple.  They were having such a good time on their wedding day and I think that comes through in their photos.  Jennifer has such an amazing smile and laugh and I love WAY too many of her laughing.  Funny story: Jennifer decided she needed a mint before the ceremony an she had a blue vicks cough drop, which turned her tongue blue, and in an impromptu way it became her something blue.  Jamelle and I really loved the ceremony at the Sedona Heritage Museum. It was such a beautiful venue with the old barns in the background and glorious red rocks all around.  Karen Lynn of Sedona Wedding Planner put together the day-of coordination.  Showstoppers did the amazing floral arrangements and this bouquet was one of my favorites!  They had their reception at this very chic restaurant in the Village of Oak Creek called "A Fork in the Road" and it was gorgeous.  The beautiful wooden floors, tables, chandeliers and white button booths gave this wedding a very sophisticated feel.  Andrea of Sedona Cake Couture did their cake, which I think belongs directly in Martha Stewart Weddings. Natalie and Marty were married May 2, 2009 on 'the knoll' which is a GREAT outdoor spot in Sedona with views of the Cathedral Rock and other gorgeous red rocks.  Natalie and Marty are both musicians and met as friends but discovered their relationship meant more than that over the years. They were a great casual fun couple and I think that shows in their images.  I adore the image of them coming down the aisle together. Since it was a "standing" ceremony the guests formed an aisle for Natalie and her father to walk down.  This made a great photo of some reactions and faces as they proceeded down the aisle.

This wedding was booked a short period before the event, so I covered it as an hourly event.  As you might know about me, I am not a big fan of hourly coverage because it means we generaly leave before all the "action" takes place, in this case, we missed Natalie and Marty singing songs, etc.  However, their higher priority was good candid wedding photography and great portraits, so it worked out for them. If I'm available and your wedding falls within 6-8 weeks of your inquiry, I will shoot your event with my hourly rate.  Contact: cameron @ cameronkellystudio dot come for pricing.  All regular rates apply for albums and any a la carte products and that rate is only good in Northern Arizona: Sedona or Flagstaff, specifically.  Inquire about my availability if you are planning an event soon!  We have lots of dates in June and July available!

Rachel and Jon Michael had a gorgeous ceremony by the creek at Los Abrigados Resort in Sedona, AZ. Rachel was so surprised when she opened her wedding gift from Jon Michael and Jamelle captured it perfectly.  This couple was so comfortable in each others arms we had no trouble making gorgeous portraits of them.  Bliss Floral did a great job with the flower arrangements and even though I'm not a girly-girl I do love PINK flowers! Jamelle and I both noticed how much Jon Michael ADORED Rachel (he even shed a real tear as she walked down the aisle and so did I) We loved how excited both sets of parents were for their children.  Rachel said, "all I wanted was a sunset photo where we are madly in love," well, we think we captured that.  Congratulations on your wedding it was our pleasure to work with you guys.
PS.  This wedding was a "Jamelle" primary wedding and I was on board as her second shooter and lighting assistant.  It was fun to have the tables turned and Jamelle did a great job!
