cameron + kelly studios is a boutique photography studio and this is our only website. It's a website and a blog. A blog is a journal that allows readers to subscribe and "follow" news events. Cameron Clark + Jamelle Kelly specialize in weddings and portraits in Sedona, Flagstaff and Scottsdale. We will capture your family's personality and our photographs will become part of your family history. We update this blog-site with photos and info about us, so check back often or better yet add us to your RSS feed. If you are in Flagstaff, please stop by our downtown studio on Heritage Square to view our work. We are available most mornings M-F and by appointment.

You might remember Kate, my sister, and her now husband Norm from an engagement session we did in Oct. 2008.  They got tied the knot on Oct. 10, 2009 and Katrina Wallace and Andrew Mejia of Sedona Bride  photographed their wedding.  Kate wanted me to be a guest at her event and it turns out I was 9 months pregnant so it was best I enjoyed the time with my family.  Jamelle was already booked too, so Kate asked "who should I hire for the photography?" Ah the question every bride must answer.  Next thing out of her mouth, "I'm on a budget."  Does this sound familiar?  Well, I encouraged Kate to consider her budget, trim the fat, and make room for what she really wanted ie: prioritize.  She knew she wanted great photography and would be really disappointed if she didn't have that sooo she didn't compromise on that. She knew she could get a location for free, and she knew she was an expert shopper and could find a gown for less (she got her dress at Neimen's in Phoenix for under $800).  After that, Kate decided to have Thornager's do a BBQ to you style buffet, they constructed their own dance floor, etc. etc.  Kate hired Kim Duncan of kD eventDesigns to style and 'figure the rest out.'  Kim, is one of my favorite wedding vendors because she always goes above and beyond to make it all perfect for her clients -- she helped Kate with her budget and was able to make Kate's chic county fair theme come to life as you will see in the photos.  Thanks Katrina for letting me feature your lovely work on my blog.  If you don't already know, Katrina (sedona bride) remains one of my oldest and closest friends in the industry.  We have grown our businesses together and I was so tickled that she was able to shoot Kate's event.  She and Andrew knocked it out of the ballpark!! She is one of the TOP photographers in Arizona for sure and one of the finest in the country as well.

Jaron and Amanda were married at L'Auberge de Sedona on January 23, 2010! It was the weekend AFTER the enormous snow storm we had up here in Northern Arizona.  I shoveled for an hour to carve a space wide enough to back my car out of  our driveway--we received four feet of snow in three days. It was the third largest storm in Flagstaff's history!  Sedona also received some snow and it was absolutely breathtaking on the red rocks.  These guys were great sports and ventured out into the snowy weather to get some great images.  We did a "first look" before the ceremony because I was worried about the weather and wanted to be sure we had enough light and time to capture some great portraits...  Jaron and Amanda had to move their ceremony indoors at L'Auberge but as you can see, it was still lovely.  The happy couple just got back from New Zealand on their honeymoon. ::click here:: to view their slideshow~Cameron~

Jaron and Amanda were so in love the weather didn't interrupt their happy day! Due to their awesome "go-get-em" attitude regarding the photos, we got some incredible snowy red rock shots this past Saturday. It's rare to get the snow to last long enough in Sedona to capture a bride and groom...It was a blessed day.  More to come now... this one just couldn't wait!  ~cameron~

To refresh your memory, we shot Brooke and Pat's engagement session here in Flagstaff on their drive East (California girl moving to Tennessee).  After we shot this e-session Brooke just HAD to have us shoot her San Diego wedding and we were flattered. Matt, Owen, Harper--6 weeks old--, my sister Kate and her husband, Norm loaded up a van and drove to CA.  You see, Pat is my cousin, and so it was also a family wedding.  NO PRESSURE, EH?  It was actually a really fun trip and New Years too!  Jamelle and her family made a trip out of it as well and of course Jamelle and I shot it together.  I had fun getting "back in the saddle," I'm technically STILL on maternity leave here.  I was in awe of the amazing FIRST California Mission church, the lovely California light and Brooke's never-ending energy.  Don't you love her dress?  The veil was her grandmother's!  A few side notes: Brooke is a performer, a former Charger Girl and all around "hair-flipping-dancing-maniac." I hope her tenacity comes though in these photos.  Pat has incredible guy-friends that he's known since high school and they are still very tight. The combination made for a good party! Brooke and Pat have made it through many adventures in their relationship already and their love continues to carry them through it all. I wish them a lifetime of happiness and I hope the picture girl loves her pictures. I attended my cousin Brandon's wedding as a guest/wedding photographer a few weeks ago in Orlando, Florida.  It was so great to be able to spend some time with family that I don't get to see very often, as most live in Michigan.  My cousin Brandon is actually Canadian and his new wife, Sian is from Wales, so we had quite the melting pot of family members and friends at this party.  It was a great time and we all enjoyed the Disney World backdrop for entertainment the few days before and after the wedding.  Thanks Sian and Brandon for letting me tag along on this one.  You can view the entire slideshow here:   ~jamelle

Very touching--Jamelle captured so well the intimate emotion and the personalities of the newlyweds, family, and guests. I would say this slideshow visually captures much more than simply what you see here. These photos and their depth of meaning will be treasured forever. I'm sure...wonderful work!

Sian, Brandon and Jamelle,
Grandpa just called and told us how beautiful his family is and how much he is enjoying the pictures. He and grandma were here on Christmas day and we showed them the slide show. It is funny to watch grandma - she thinks it is so cool to be able to see all the pictures on the computer. Jamelle you do a wonderful job and I wish all a Happy Holiday! Be safe - Be Happy. Love you lots Patti, Ken and kids

Brandon Bagnell says:

Sian and I would like to express our greatest appreciation for Jamelle and the images she captured on our wedding day. There are no words to express how fortunate we were to have you with us on this special occasion. People have always said, that a picture is worth a thousand words, Jamelle, your slideshow, editing, and music evoked a fairy tale for those who couldn't attend the wedding from near and far. It told a visual story, a thousand pages long, without a written word!!!! Your ability is a gift and thank-you for sharing your gift and talent with us. Everytime we watch it with friends and family, it overwhelms and capivates our audience. Thank-you, Love ya Sian and Brandon. :)
